Microsoft has made the lighter, faster version of Skype for Android available for Amazon Store users.
This means users who do not have access to Google Play, such as many in India and the East are able to install the app.
The app is optimized for slow, unstable connections and is designed to use less data, making it ideal for less developed markets.
It is still, however, full-featured and lets you make:
