Microsoft has released a new update for the Skype app on iOS with some minor new features. The latest update for the app brings some improvements to the messaging experience by giving users more space for their messages on the chat UI. There’s now a + icon which lets you add content to the chat, leaving more space for the actual message input box.

The update also introduces the ability to automatically follow requests from users who want to view your Skype Highlights (read: Skype’s Snapchat clone). Here’s the full changelog:

  • Messaging improvements – Add content to chats via the + button and enjoy more room for your messages.
  • You can now auto-accept follow requests.
  • General performance and reliability improvements.

You can get Skype for iOS from the App Store here.

Thanks for the tip, Mohammad!
