Microsoft is making it easier to use its highlights feature to share clips to your Skype friends. In an update to the Android app, the firm now lets you upload videos from your gallery directly to your highlights — the firm’s answer to Snapchat’s stories.

There’s a bit more in the update than that, with messaging improvements being added, as you can see from the changelog below:

  • Messaging improvements – Add content to chats via the + button and enjoy more room for your messages.
  •  Easily upload videos from your gallery to highlights.
  • You can now auto-accept follow requests.

This update is rolling out to Android phones, Microsoft has not yet the new Skype available for Android tablets and Chromebooks with the Google Play Store. You can download Skype for Android here.
