It took a very long time, but it seems an official SiriusXM satellite radio app is finally heading to the Windows Store.

SiriusXM is ia US-based satellite radio system with exclusive content such as the Howard Stern show which is also available via internet streaming.

While they are able to stream on the web they have never supported Windows Phones, but it seems with Windows 10 this is about to change, as their support is saying that a Windows 10 app for “smartphones, tablets and computers” is currently being developed for release in 2016.

The news appears to be another sign that Microsoft’s Universal Windows Apps strategy, which uses the Windows 10 installed base to bolster the Windows phone app selection, is paying off, with many more high-profile apps arriving or being in development at present.
