Update: The recent Steam release of Rare’s Sea of Thieves has already become a Steam Top Seller just one day after its launched on Valve’s digital storefront.

In less than 24 hours, the pirate misadventures of Rare’s Sea of Thieves has collectively held an all-time high of 10,825 concurrent players yesterday. That number has barely wavered; at the time of writing there’s currently 10,284 players battling on the seven seas right now.

Sea of Thieves Steam Top Sellers

The pirate multiplayer game is currently holding an 87% very positive rating on Steam with some negative reviews complaining that you need to sign into an Xbox account to play, “character creation takes too long”, “it requires Windows 10 which I don’t have”, “made for consoles” and is “first person only”.

A few players found the game a bit boring.

Original Story: Sea of Thieves is now officially available on PC via Steam, making the game available on Xbox One, Windows 10 via both Steam and the Microsoft Store, and available through Xbox Game Pass on both platforms.

The Steam version of Sea of Thieves supports full cross-play with both other versions of the game, meaning you can grab your friends and go sailing on the seven seas regardless of which platform or storefront you favour.
