From now until July 25, you can rent “School of Rock” for free from Microsoft’s Movies & TV app. The film is about a struggling rock singer and guitarist, played by Jack Black, who is kicked out of his band and subsequently disguises himself as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. After witnessing the musical talent in his students in their music class, Dewey forms a band of fourth-graders to attempt to win the upcoming Battle of the Bands and pay off his rent. The free rental is a part of Microsoft’s Countdown to Windows 10 Anniversary Update, where the tech giant will be offering up deals like new features on your favorite games, free movie rentals, and four months of free music up until July 29th, the last day to claim your free Windows 10 upgrade. You can also vote for your favorite titles in the Windows Store for the chance to win one of 10 $50 Windows Store digital gift cards! Click here to check out some of the other offers that Redmond is giving away. Some of the other offers also include their own contests and giveaways!
