Surface Pro 3 SSD Performance

If you are not satisfied with the SSD performance on Surface Pro 3, you have a good news. Samsung has released a firmware update which improves the SSD performance on your Surface Pro 3 device significantly. It fixes the gradual degradation of read performance of Samsung PM851 SSD drives which was caused by an issue with the voltage decay compensation algorithm, which lead to excessive read retries on old data. After the update, the performance seems to be increasing from 321 MB/sec to 503 MB/Sec.
