Samsung’s Flow app already lets you unlock your Samsung Galaxy TabPro S using the fingerprint reader on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Now Samsung said they would make this feature available to all PC owners after the Windows 10 Creators Update, due in April 2017.

The feature already uses Microsoft’s Windows Hello Companion Device Framework, so extending it to all PCs should not require Samsung to do too much.

While a useful feature, around the same time a wide variety of USB-based add-on fingerprint readers should become available to Windows 10 users, which should offer a more reliable and convenient solution.

Is this a feature our Galaxy-using readers are looking forward to? Let us know below.
