Samsung goes in a different direction with their own roll-up TV

LG has promised to commercialize their roll-up flexible screen TV in 2019, but arch-rival Samsung was not going to leave that move unchallenged.

Letsgodigital has uncovered a design patent for a flexible screen TV which just like LG’s device rolls up into a compact package.

Unlike LG’s TV, however, this device rolls vertically rather than horizontally and is designed to be portable when rolled-up.

The design features a rigid stand in the middle to keep the screen flat and a roller-blind-like design on the sides to hold the flexible screens.

The design was published on the 25th December by the USPTO, and it seems likely we will see Samsung showing off the TV at CES 2019.
