Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will reportedly release in June, Note series to discontinue

With its foldable phone finally getting some traction for all the good reasons, Samsung is willing to bet big on the future of foldable devices. The company is giving final touches to its upcoming flagship foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which happens to be the successor of the Galaxy Z Fold 2, and will release in the month of June next year, according to the South Korean publication Aju News.

The publication also claims that the Z Fold 3 will be equipped with an S Pen, a feature that’s currently present in the Galaxy Note series. If true, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will join S21 Ultra to have support for the S Pen, though the latter is unlikely to have any magnet or hole to keep the pen attached with it, unlike the former. And with these changes, Samsung will reportedly discontinue the Note series from next year.

According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be the first Galaxy smartphone to have an under-display camera. The tipster also says that the Z Fold 3 will have “a lot of innovative technologies.” The foldable smartphone is expected to use the second-gen Ultra-Thin Glass(UTG) display.

Currently, we don’t have much knowledge about the Galaxy Z Fold 3, but rumor has it that Samsung will add a series of indicator lights to the hideaway hinge of the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Key details about the foldable phone are still unknown, meaning we still don’t have any information about the price, specs, and availability of the foldable.
