Samsung has recently launched the Galaxy S25 smartphones at Unpacked this month. And with that, the South Korean tech giant broke the metrics in its home country.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 series has set a new pre-order record in South Korea, with 1.3 million units sold, surpassing the 1.21 million pre-orders for the Galaxy S24. The S25 Ultra model, which accounted for 52% of pre-orders, led the way, followed by the S25 and S25+ models.
The series includes the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, with exclusive online color options such as Titanium Jet black and Titanium Jade green for the Ultra model that’s also protected by the new Gorilla Armor 2 display.
The Ultra model stands out with a 200 MP main camera and versatile telephoto and ultrawide lenses, while the S25 and S25+ sport a 50 MP wide sensor and 12 MP ultrawide lens.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and 12 GB of RAM, the series delivers strong performance with storage options from 128 GB to 1 TB. The S25 Ultra comes with a 5,000 mAh battery, and all models offer fast charging and wireless capabilities.
Samsung is now quite optimistic about its 2025 prospects with the launch of the S25. The South Korean company expects a 20% increase in overall sales and a more than 25% revenue boost compared to the Galaxy S24, driven by advancements in generative AI (mostly from Galaxy AI offerings).
