The one constant with phones is that we can usually expect next year’s model to be better than the previous year.

Unfortunately according to reliable leaker Ice Universe, this will not be the case for next year’s Samsung Galaxy S21 range.

In fact, apart from an upgraded processor, Ice Universe thinks next years Samsung Galaxy S21 range will be worse, and will mostly resemble the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE released recently (below).

This means for example that the screen will be flat with significant bezels, the back will be plastic, the cameras will not see a significant upgrade (only 3 lenses), with no under-the-screen selfie camera, normal 25W fast charging,  but also that the device will potentially be cheaper, in recognition of the economic issues all over the world.

Samsung is reportedly focussing on their folding phones to carry its premium flag.

Of course for some, the processor really matters, but for most people, it is not really an issue.

Ice Universe is very reliable, so he is likely right on this occasion again.  Does this make our readers waiting to upgrade next year reconsider? Let us know below.
