Samsung Galaxy Note10 will not support Gear VR headset

Back in 2017, Samsung first announced the Gear VR headset with Controller powered by Oculus. It was the most affordable VR headset in Samsung’s virtual reality ecosystem. Later, Samsung released an updated Gear VR headset with few improvements. After switching to USB Type-C port in some smartphones, Samsung allowed users to attach an adapter to use the Gear VR headset.

Samsung has now announced that the new Galaxy Note10 series devices will not be compatible with any Gear VR headset. Yes, Samsung is discontinuing mobile VR experience for its upcoming flagship devices. If you want to have Gear VR experience, you need to have one of the following Samsung devices.

Galaxy S10, S10+, Note9, S9, S9+, Note8, S8, S8+, S7, S7 edge, Note5, S6 edge+, S6, S6 edge, A8 Star, A8, A8+
