Samsung is expected to soon launch an affordable version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite, which would offer the benefits of pen-based computing without the high price tag.
The device, with model number Samsung SM-N770F, will have a Bluetooth pen just like the Note 10, but unlike that device, it seems Samsung was also able to include another silo for a much-beloved but missing feature with the Note 10, a headphone jack.
Shown in the render by OnLeaks above, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite should be around the same size as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, but slightly thicker (7.9 vs 8.6mm.) It is not known how large the screen is, though 6.7-6.8? is expected, and the device is expected to be powered by Exynos 9810 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and Android 10 with OneUI 2.0. It is also expected to include an in-display fingerprint reader. Sources also claim that the Galaxy Note 10 Lite will feature a huge 32MP camera for selfies and a 12MP Wide Angle camera.
So far it appears to be a device with few compromises, and one wonders why Samsung was able to include the headphone jack here, but not with the Note 10. SamMobile reports this is because Samsung retains the headphone jack in its mid-range handsets, while presumably being comfortable forcing their high-end buyers onto Bluetooth headsets, which seems somewhat perverse.
It is not known when the device will launch, but a December launch in India has been rumoured.
