Talking about abandonware, it seems Samsung is not quite ready to let go of their Windows Mobile user base.

There are still millions of Windows Mobile handsets out there, as we are reminded every time Comscore numbers come out, and one of the more successful models was the Samsung Omnia II.

Samsung is not quite ready to let these Samsung users go, and have released their ChatON messaging app for the Samsung Omnia II.

Unfortunately the service is only available for Omnia II handsets in South Korea, but for those still sporting the handset there having new Windows Mobile software released must seem like a glass of tall water in the desert.
