Samsung yesterday officially unveiled its new ultraportable laptop, the ATIV Book 9. ATIV Book 9 is an all-aluminum PC which is blade-thin 0.46-inch and 2.06 pounds, comes with an impressive WQXGA display as well. It is powered by Intel Broadwell Core M processor with a battery life of up to 10.5 hours. With the addition of WiFi Amp, the Internet connection is up to 20 percent faster, ensuring the strongest wireless access point is prioritized based on the user’s environment.
The ATIV Book 9 comes with a WQXGA (2560×1600) display and integrated Digital Natural Image Engine (mDNIe) technology, it offers users discernably sharper text, images and video content. It also features a Wolfson WM5102 UHQA lossless audio player and FLAC playback compatibility to produce professional studio-quality sound.
The laptop is equipped with a low-reflection coating with 350nits of brightness that bumps up to 700nits when in outside mode, along with a one-touch (Fn9), outdoor control mode to enhance sunlight-readability.
There are new security solutions from Samsung. At log-in, users can set a drawing pattern on the touchpad and hit one key to activate a secret screen to shield content from onlookers, as well as camera and microphone record blocking.
