No, that’s not a typo. According to an article from PlayStation Lifestyle, Borderlands 2 is set to get some more DLC.
PlayStation Lifestyle say that a ‘trusted anonymous source with first-hand knowledge’ has hinted that Borderlands 2, a game that originally came out in 2012, is going to have a new DLC expansion.
The DLC is apparently titled ‘Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary’ and will pull the events between the end of Borderlands 2 and the start of Borderlands 3 together. We’ve seen Lilith in the teasers for Borderlands 3, so we know that she’s at least alive during the game.
The site’s source also says that the DLC will be dropped during E3, which is next week. There’s no word on how much the expansion would cost.
There’s no word on what platforms the DLC will be available on, but it can be assumed that, seeing as Borderlands 2 is available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as part of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, these platforms and also PC will be prioritised.
This new DLC isn’t completely out of the question – Borderlands 2 VR is set to get an upgrade with all of the existing Borderlands 2 DLC sometime this summer. Gearbox sliding another DLC in there isn’t something out the realm of possibility.
