The Borderlands news just keeps coming today! First up, optional but completely free HD updates are coming for the rest of the core Borderlands titles on both console and PC.

The update increases the visual fidelity of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and all its DLC on consoles. It also provides a visual upgrade for Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and all their corresponding DLC on PC.

The visual upgrade goes all the way up to 4K resolution, but there’ll still be noticeable improvements on non-4K displays.

All new and existing game owners will be able to download the (completely free!) texture pack starting April 3rd 2019. That’s the same date that more information on Borderlands 3 will become available.

Secondly, Borderlands 2 VR will be getting all the existing Borderlands 2 DLC and, once again, it will be completely free for all new and existing players.

Gearbox responded to fan feedback earlier in the year by adding AIM Controller support to the game and now they’re adding all four content add-on packs, including Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, and Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep.

The DLC is expected out in summer 2019, with more details announced in the coming months.
