Finish Line Games today unveiled Robots at Midnight, a bold action-RPG launching June 19 on Xbox Series X|S and PC. Players guide Zoe, awakened from a 20 year cryo sleep, through Yob which was a once lavish planet now reduced to ruins and ruled by rogue machines.

Zoe wields the MITT, a gauntlet that doubles as a weapon and traversal tool, letting her punch, launch explosive rounds, and dash mid-air to strike enemies or evade danger. The game offers two difficulty tiers: Hero Mode eases newer players into its lore-driven exploration, while Master Mode tightens combat with tougher foes.

Yob itself feels alive as the levels range from broken railway towns and neon-lit theme parks to robot-infested landmarks. The clock strikes midnight at mid-level, and a storm rolls in, transforming patrolling bots into deadly speedsters. That forces Zoe to sprint back to safety or go toe-to-toe in tense skirmishes.

Other recent Gaming news –

Boss encounters add flair, like a baseball-attired robot that hurls explosive balls (and spits) in the middle of a creepy field. Audio logs and oddball NPCs, like a fisher-droid named Doug help expand the backstory behind Yob’s downfall after “The Blackout”. Though reviewers applaud the neon aesthetic and MITT mechanics, some note the visuals and overall combat flow don’t always exceed genre norms.

Steam-heavy on short bursts, the game wraps up in under six hours, making it a brisk diversion rather than a sprawling epic. That compact runtime suits its mission: deliver a punchy, replayable romp with difficulty options to suit player style.

For Xbox gamers craving fast action with roots in Souls-inspired design, Robots at Midnight might just deliver. Coming June 19 for USD 19.99, it’s available to pre-order now.
