Remedy's FBC: Firebreak Launching June 17 to Bring Co-op Action & Supernatural Genre to Xbox, PS, and PC

Remedy Entertainment unveiled its upcoming title, FBC: Firebreak. The three-player co-op shooter set in the Control universe. Launching June 17 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC, the game will be available on Game Pass and PlayStation Plus from day one.

In Firebreak, players step into the roles of emergency responders tackling paranormal crises inside the Oldest House. Each mission demands coordination, with players selecting from distinct “Crisis Kits” that offer specialized tools and abilities. The gameplay emphasizes teamwork, as players navigate challenges like repairing machinery or combating waves of the Hiss.

Unlike Remedy’s previous titles, Firebreak forgoes traditional cutscenes, opting instead for environmental storytelling and character interactions. This approach allows players to piece together the narrative organically, enhancing immersion without interrupting gameplay.

FBC: Firebreak also marks Remedy’s first self-published title, signaling a new direction for the studio. A closed technical test begins May 15, offering players an early glimpse into this unique co-op experience.
