Razer Phone 2 officially announced along with a mobile gamepad

Razer today officially unveiled the Razer Phone 2, its second generation flagship gaming smartphone. Thanks to the Qualcomm 845 Snapdragon chipset and Qualcomm Adreno 630 GPU, the Razer Phone 2 offers up to 30 percent more performance than its predecessor. Performance will also be improved because of the presence of Razer vapor chamber cooling system that provides thermal cooling.

The Razer Phone 2 features a new rear dual-camera setup, a 12 MP wide-angle lens with OIS and a 12 MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom. The 8 MP front camera supports video streaming at full HD resolution.

The Razer Phone 2 features the same 5.7-inch UltraMotion IGZO display that offers both 120 Hz screen refresh and 120 Hz touch sampling. But Razer has improved the brightness of the display by 50 percent.

The rear of Razer Phone 2 features the Razer triple-headed snake logo that glows in 16.8 million colors. Similar to what you find in other Razer products, the Razer Chroma in Razer Phone 2 allows you to customize lighting effects such as Static, Spectrum Cycling and Breathing.

Razer has designed the Razer Phone 2 with a new glass back to support Wireless charging. It also supports Qualcomm QuickCharge 4+ so that you can charge the phone from 0 percent to 50 percent within just 30 minutes. The Razer Phone 2 is also IP67 resistance to dust and water.

To improve the mobile gaming experience, Razer also announced the Razer Raiju Mobile and Razer Hammerhead USB-C ANC. The Razer Raiju Mobile is a mobile gamepad with a phone mount and Bluetooth. It comes with four remappable multi-function buttons, Razer Mecha-Tactile action buttons, a hair trigger mode and an adjustable phone mount.The Razer Hammerhead USB-C ANC is an in-ear headset that draws power for its Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology through the USB-C port on your Razer Phone 2.

The Razer Phone 2 will be available for $799 in Mirror Black and in a Satin Black variant (will be available in Q4), in USA, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The Razer Raiju Mobile will be available for $149 in Q4 this year and the Razer Hammerhead USB-C ANC will be available for $99 from October 22, 2018.
