Rainbow Six Siege next-gen

Ubisoft Montreal’s tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege is still going strong, even after over a year and a half after its release. Ubisoft just announced today on their official blog that the game had passed a massive milestone of 20 million registered players on all platforms, with 2.3 million of those playing every single day. While they didn’t give out any specific numbers, the game is currently the second most played title on Xbox One. This is pretty significant, especially since Minecraft is in third place.

It doesn’t look like Siege’s growth will be slowing down any time soon, either. The team’s Operation Health initiative has been focused on improving game stability for quite some time now and will reach its culmination in the next few weeks. The game’s next season will begin around the same time, taking players to Hong Kong.

If you’d like to buy Rainbow Six Siege, you can check it out in the Xbox Store by clicking here. Ubisoft claims that the start of the next season will be one of the best times to join the game due to the new operators being added. Due to how different each operator is, players both new and old will be using the start of the season to come up with new tactics – either to use or to counter each operator’s abilities.
