At today’s Qualcomm Snapdragon Technology Summit the company has made their new Snapdragon 845 processor official.

The company did not deliver any details on what is new, but we can expect improvements related to security, battery life, camera and connectivity,  and applications using AI, VR and likely a secure enclave like on Apple’s products.

The first products using the processor will likely come towards the middle or end of 2018.  The devices are expected to use a 10 nm manufacturing process and the x20 LTE modem.

The powerful processor will likely also drive always connected Windows 10 PCs and will hopefully offer better benchmarks that those leaked for existing devices so far.
