Qponomics, a mobile coupon company, announced that their application is now approved for Windows Mobile. Qponomics is a free lifestyle and shopping application and is currently available for download at the Apple App Store, Android Marketplace, BlackBerry App World and now the Windows Marketplace.

The application uses the GPS location of the user to present coupons available in the local area, which the user can then filter by preference.

The user can also visit the advertiser’s website, call a specific location by simply pressing an icon, view a business location on a map, receive turn by turn directions to a location and see a brief menu of information on the advertiser. Once at the location, the user presents the mobile coupon or offer to receive discounts on merchandise, dining and a wide variety of services. Since all offers are electronic, there is no paper coupon to print, no coupon junk mail filling a landfill and no trees are destroyed.

James Elliott, President and Founder of Qponomics said, “Our product is not only a terrific way for savvy consumers to easily take advantage of both local and national offers, by definition, our technology is green. In light of the recent and ongoing environmental tragedy in the Gulf, all of us need to take a hard look at what we are doing to the world around us. If we can take just one paper coupon off the market, we have made a difference. Now, just imagine what millions or even billions could mean.”

Qponomics has over 2,000 business advertisers using the service nationally and is signing up hundreds of new advertisers every week.
