Project Milkyway

During one of the WinHEC sessions regarding Windows 10 upgrade process, Microsoft revealed that they have a new program called Project Milkyway for Windows 10 mobile users. The goal of this project is to delight users by delivering updates to their mobile device within 4-6 weeks of release. Microsoft will help their partners with easy testing processes, data from Windows Insider program and more. Microsoft expects partners to download, test and report issues within specified time-frame. Even in this project, Microsoft is dependent on the carriers. But, Microsoft is assisting them with simplified process for testing updates quicker. Hopefully, Microsoft will be able to achieve their goal of this project.
