Last year, Microsoft introduced real-time co-authoring features for Word 2016 on Windows desktop. Today, the company announced that real-time co-authoring will be coming to PowerPoint Mobile for Windows tablets sometime soon. With the real-time co-authoring feature, multiple Windows 10 users will be able to work on a presentation at the same time, which is, of course, a very nice feature. Microsoft stated:
We’re making more progress on our journey to make Office the best place for real-time collaboration. Last fall, we brought real-time co-authoring to Word 2016 on Windows desktop, so you can see what others are typing as it happens. Now we’re bringing that experience to PowerPoint Mobile for Windows tablets. We’re also taking a step in that direction by bringing real-time presence to PowerPoint 2016 on Windows desktop, so you can see who else is working in the document and where.
Microsoft is also bringing some of the basic co-authoring and auto saving features to Word and PowerPoint for Android, and it will be available to Office Insiders in the next preview builds of the app. As for Windows 10, the company will be rolling out the new PowerPoint Mobile real-time co-authoring features to Office Insiders soon, too.
