Google has announced a new feature for Google Meet called portrait touch-up, which allows users to lightly enhance their appearance before joining or during a meeting on mobile devices.Â
In other words, Google Meet’s new portrait touch-up feature allows you to quickly and easily enhance your appearance before or during a meeting, even if you don’t have time to put on makeup or fix your hair. It’s like AI-powered virtual makeup on Microsoft Teams.
The feature is available in two modes: Subtle and Smoothing. The Subtle mode is a good option if you want to enhance your appearance without looking too artificial, and Smoothing is a good option if you want a more noticeable effect.
“This update has been highly requested by our users and we hope that by providing the ability to lightly enhance their appearance, they will feel more comfortable and confident with how they appear during video calls,” says Google in the official announcement.
Rolling out by the end of the year, the portrait touch-up feature is currently available for users in almost all Business, Enterprise, and Education plans, as well as those in Google One and Google Workspace Individual.
Unfortunately, it is not yet available to users with personal Google Accounts.
