AI-powered virtual makeup on Teams has arrived & it's a lifesaver

Wake up too late and don’t have time to put make-up on before an important online meeting? Don’t worry. Virtual makeup on Teams is finally here, thanks to Microsoft’s recent collaboration with beauty giant Maybelline.
Besides the in-app 3D avatars, you can bring one of the 12 AI-powered digital makeup looks for your best virtual look during online meetings through the Maybelline Beauty App in Microsoft Teams. The app is made by ModiFace, a leading provider of virtual try-on technology for the beauty industry, and is now available for Teams Enterprise users.
“With Microsoft Teams, we’re getting even closer to where our users already are. There are 300 million people using Teams for meetings every single day. Being able to give them a richer experience inside Teams is something that’s very meaningful for ModiFace,” says Jeff Houghton, Chief Executive Officer of ModiFace, in the official announcement.
The virtual makeup looks are now globally available as an option in Teams video calls to those with a Teams enterprise license. To use the app, simply open Microsoft Teams, go to your meeting, and click on the “Video effects” button. Then, select the “Maybelline Beauty App” from the list of available effects.
The virtual try-on app itself has been available on Maybelline’s website for quite some time, where users can try a wide range of products from across categories, lines, and shades, although it’s still restricted for US residents above 18 years of age.
