PocketCRON goes free Sebastian Dwornik from AppliedPDA writes:

Given that Windows Mobile is just about dead, I predict a lot of the paid apps for it will start becoming free over the next few months (till WP7).

So I just wanted to let your users know that I’ve made one of my Windows Mobile apps now *FREE*.

PocketCRON is now FREE.

That’s right.  FREE!

Revitalize that old Windows Mobile device (WM 5.0 and above) and make it work for you as an automated program scheduler.

Use PocketCRON to schedule the running of other apps automatically and empower your Windows Mobile device as your personal robotic assistant.
From controlling Christmas lights to watering your lawn, by reusing your old WM device you renew your investment in it, as well as keep it out of our landfills.

You can download PocketCRON here, and if you end up using it in some cool and innovate way, tell us about it in the forum.

I’m always interested in how creative other people get with my software.

PocketCRON is a very easy and intuitive program scheduler that has the ability to convert a normal PDA into a powerful stand-alone automation controller, for example, if you would like to run a certain program that starts your PC in the morning at Sunrise, a Windows Mobile device running PocketCRON can help to achieve that.

When PocketCRON is partnered with PocketDAQ Pro, it can become a powerful home automation unit.
