Playday 3 closed beta is finally here for Xbox insiders, and things are getting really exciting.

As Microsoft announced in a blog post, the closed beta kicks off on August 2 at 10 AM CEST (1 AM PT) for Xbox Series X/S until August 7. To participate in the beta, you must sign up for the Xbox Insider Program and download the Xbox Insider Hub app. Once you have done that, you can navigate to Previews > Payday 3 – Beta and select Join.

Limited space is available, so sign up early. More space will be opened throughout the beta weekend, so if you’re unable to join at first, feel free to check back later.

With that being said, however, the game is still under development and may contain bugs or errors, as the developers are currently testing its stability before releasing it in the coming weeks.

“Please remember that this beta does not represent the final game. The game can be unstable at times, or even crash, due to us testing our infrastructure’s capabilities,” the announcement reads.

Payday 3, the upcoming sequel to the popular co-op shooter, will be released in September 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Windows and Linux desktops. The game is available for pre-order purchase on all platforms for $39.99.

Not just a new game in closed beta, Xbox Insiders also get early access to new features, like keyboard mapping for Xbox controllers. This feature is currently in the Omega ring, which is the closest to general availability.
