At Mobile World Congress today, Panasonic announced their latest rugged device, Toughpad FZ-F1. The Toughpad FZ-F1 is 4.7 inch Windows 10 tablet powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad-core CPU with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB Flash storage. It offers up to eight hours of battery life and with an optional extended battery it can come up to 16 hours. Read about some of the unique features available in the device below,

  • It has an integrated angled barcode reader to protect against repetitive strain injuries, while increasing productivity. The angle means that workers are still able to read the device screen while scanning – which enables them to complete their tasks faster than using a traditional straight line barcode reader.
  • The multi-touch daylight readable display is specially designed for use by workers in bright sunlight or in the rain, and can be used with or without gloves.
  • The device can also be used with the optional Passive Pen or an optional Active Pen – for more accurate proof-of-delivery signature recording and recognition capabilities.
  • Built-in 4G LTE and 3G data and voice communication technology.

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-F1 Windows 10 IoT Mobile Enterprise handheld tablet will be available in the later part of the year, priced at £1291 plus vat. It will be available Europe-wide and come with a standard 3 year warranty.
