Panasonic which is known for its rugged devices for the enterprise today announced that it is working with Microsoft in delivering rugged mobile handhelds based on Windows Embedded 8 Handheld platform. The new Windows Embedded 8 Handheld platform is built on Windows Phone 8. So it offers full Windows Phone 8 application compatibility. It also allows businesses to leverage Microsoft’s enterprise-ready applications such as Dynamics AX, Lync and Office Mobile.
