Panasonic Reveals More Info On Toughpad FZ-E1 Windows Embedded 8.1 Device

Back in February, we reported that Panasonic is working on Windows Embedded 8 Handheld (FZ-E1). Yesterday, Panasonic revealed all the information about the device.

The Toughpad FZ-E1 is the world’s most rugged 5-inch tablet. Since it runs on Windows Embedded 8.1 handheld OS, it features all the enterprise class requirements. Also, Businesses can easily leverage their existing investments in enterprise applications without sacrificing performance and ruggedness. Since it is a military grade rugged device, you can have it thirty minutes underwater, withstand TEN foot drops onto solid concrete, Built-in heater for -4° F weather and more.

The Toughpad FZ-E1 with WiFi-only connectivity will be available in August 2014 at a list price of $1,899, followed by the telephony and mobile broadband-enabled version with a target date of October 2014 at a list price of $1,999.
