Microsoft’s Outlook Mail app on Windows 10 is a mixture of some good and bad things. The Mail app’s performance is really good, the UI is also quite pretty, but it lacks some features such as good email rendering. A handy feature that’s currently missing in the Outlook Mail app is the pop-out feature which allows users to open an email or open the compose window in a new window easily. This feature is available in Outlook 2016, but it will be coming to Outlook Mail app on Windows 10 sometime soon.

We were able to get our hands-on a new version of Outlook Mail on Windows 10, and the app finally includes a pop-out feature. As I have noted before, the pop-out feature in Outlook Mail will let users open an email in a new window, and they can also open the compose window in a new window which could be quite useful at times. Here’s a GIF showing the feature in action (click on the image below to start the GIF):

Of course, this isn’t a major feature but this is something which a lot of users have been waiting for. Hopefully, Microsoft will roll this out to Windows 10 users in the coming weeks. Until then, tell us what you think of this new feature in the comment section below.
