Outlook Mail and Calendar gets a touch of Fluent Design in Windows 10

Microsoft has released a new update to the Outlook Mail and Calendar app in Windows 10. The company is finally rolling out the new Fluent Design system to the apps, but don’t get too excited.

The update only brings a small part of the Fluent Design system to the apps. It adds the Reveal effect of the Fluent Design system, which is a neat little effect that highlights part of an element when you hover over it. Here it is in action:

The update is being A/B tested, though — so it’s possible you may not have the new Reveal effect at the moment. The update, version 2016.8700.40316.0, is only available to Windows Insiders as well, but it will likely get rolled out to all Fall Creators Update users later. You can download it below.
