If you’re accustomed to receiving alerts on the Outlook app, you’ll be pleased to know that you can also receive them on the webpage.

Notifications on websites are becoming increasingly popular, but are usually for advertising purposes.  The notifications on Outlook will, however, enable you to receive desktop alerts when you receive a new e-mail.  This will be useful if you’re waiting on an important e-mail, but also want to multitask.

You can enable this in just a couple steps:

  • Click on the Settings icon on the banner on the top of the page.
  • Here you’ll see the option to enable or disable desktop notifications.
