After having been made free from the Games with Gold program earlier this month, the original ‘Forza Horizon’ and its associated DLC will be removed from the Xbox Store on October 20, as it has hit its ‘End of Life’ status. However, those who have already purchased the game and the content, you will still be able to download and play the game as normal after this date. The Forza team announced the games status in an official news post.

While we’re reveling in the euphoria of launching a brand-new Forza game, I do have an important update regarding the original Forza Horizon. On October 20, the original Forza Horizon for Xbox 360 will reach “End of Life” status. That means that the game and its associated DLC will no longer be available for purchase. Players who own Forza Horizon before that date will still be able to download and play the game and its associated content as normal. After that date, however, Forza Horizon and its associated DLC will no longer be for sale.

However the new ‘Forza Horizon 3‘ has just been released for both Xbox One and PC, and  Microsoft has announced the Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass for $34.99 which includes the first two expansions of the game, with the first be released during the upcoming holiday season. If you want to keep the original game in your archives, make sure to grab the game before October 20.
