OnePlus is hard at work on several new features, some of which the company has already announced. The Android manufacturer recently announced that it’s working on “India-centric” features and that they will be rolled out to the public after testing.
Aside from features that will be available only to Indian users, the company is working on other features that are expected to be available to everyone and not limited to any particular region. One such feature is courier tracking, which, according to several reports, will be available to OnePlus smartphones.
Once the feature comes to OnePlus smartphones, users should be able to track their delivery status with the help of their phone number and the courier number.
The company is planning to add the tracking feature to OxygenOS, according to XDA. Several pieces of evidence have been found in the APK teardown of OnePlus’s Shelf app, indicating that the courier tracking feature is in the works. However, it’s still not clear as to whether this tracking feature will need a standalone app to work or it’ll be integrated into the OxygenOS.
For those unaware, Shelf is an app, which you can access by swiping right from the homescreen. It’ll then display a number of important apps and information and those include weather information, recent apps, toolbox, Cricket scores, parking location, ability to create quick Memos, and more.
