OnePlus 6 announced with a notch and glass back

After flooding the internet with leaks, OnePlus finally announced the much anticipated OnePlus 6. The device will be the successor to the OnePlus 5T and will be available starting 21st May. The company held an event in London yesterday followed by an event today in Mumbai.

The OnePlus 6 comes with a 6.3-inch 19:9 OLED display and has a notch on the top. Under the hood sits a Snapdragon 845 processor and Adreno 630 graphics. The device also comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256 GB Internal Storage. The back of the device is covered in glass and has a dual camera setup (20 MP+ 16 MP) as well as the fingerprint sensor. OnePlus has finally added Optical Image Stabilization. The company also made sure not to remove the headphone jack from OnePlus 6. Apart from this, OnePlus 6 also has Bluetooth 5 connectivity, support for two nano-SIM cards, and Dash charging. The device is available in glossy or matte black or a white variant. The device will go on sale starting May 22nd directly from the OnePlus online store in North America, India, and across Europe. The device will cost $529 6GB/64GB and $579 8GB/128GB variant in the USA. In Europe, you will have to shell €519 for 64GB of storage and €569 for 128GB variant. In India, the price will be starting at Rs 34,999.

Apart from OnePlus 6, the company also partnered with Marvel to launch a special Avengers edition device. The device will carry the same specs as OnePlus 6 but will have a few design changes. The Avengers: Infinity War edition will have a Kevlar-style patterned back along with a gold Avengers emblem and a gold mute switch. There’s also an official case with Iron Man’s helmet on the back. You will have to shell an extra $30 for the Avengers edition.
