Microsoft has revealed a useful new feature coming to OneDrive which would be ideal for recovering from a Ransomware attack.

Users will soon be able to roll back their OneDrive to an earlier date, which would undo any changes made accidentally or maliciously by malware.

The news comes from a presentation by Stephen L Rose, a Senior Product Manager for OneDrive For Business at the SharePoint Saturday San Diego on January 13, 2018, and it is not clear if the feature would be available only for OneDrive for Business or for all OneDrive users, but I am sure it will be welcomed by all.

The feature is expected to arrive “in the next couple of weeks“, according to  Ryan Schouten, a Sharepoint MVP who attended the event and tweeted the above photo.

Would this feature encourage our readers to store more of their sensitive files in the cloud? Let us know below.
