LG’s Windows Phone has been very long rumoured (in fact in July 2015 it will be 2 years) and now some more proof of the elusive handset has turned up.
The device, the LG VW820 has shown up in LG’s Open Source Licensing website, where it declared that it uses some of Microsoft’s open source tools to work on the handset.
Winfuture.de has also found the handset recently certified by the Bluetooth SIG, indicating that it will soon be released.
AdDuplex has found the LG VW820 to feature a 4.7-inch 480×854 touchscreen, which is of course decidedly low end, when some of Microsoft’s cheapest handsets, like the Lumia 640, have HD screens.
With the device running Windows Phone 8.1 it is likely to be another commercial failure. DO our readers agree LG has missed the boat again?
