ICQ is still popular in some regions  so it is good news that Windows Phone 7, which is also expanding globally, will soon have an official client.
The current owner of ICQ, the Mail.ru Group, have announced an official client is on its way.
Mail.ru says it’s software will also support Google, VK.com (vkontakte) and some other protocols. A Mail.ru app will also be coming.
UI is designed specifically for Windows Phone, the application will support Mango features, and will soon be available for free.
