As a thank you to those who backed its Oculus Rift development kit Kickstarter campaign, the company is giving those backers a free version of the Kickstarter Edition Oculus Rift! This is the retail version of the VR headset, and like other pre-orders for the headset, those users will also receive a bundled copy of Lucky’s Tale and EVE: Valkyrie.

As a small token of our appreciation for your support, all Kickstarter backers who pledged for a Rift development kit will get a free Kickstarter Edition Oculus Rift! And like all Rift pre-order purchasers, you’ll receive a bundled copy of Lucky’s Tale and EVE: Valkyrie.

The company will send out a survey to those backers sometime this month, which they need to have completed with a valid shipping address before February 1, 2016.  The only downside is that the address has to be in one of the 20 countries that the Oculus Rift is launching in. However if not, the company still advises those who live outside of those countries to still complete the survey with their preferences, as the company works on an alternative.
