WhatsApp, where you’d be able to change the color from green to other colors soon, has released a new feature for iOS 17 users, allowing them to create custom stickers within the app. This update expands upon the existing sticker functionality, which previously supported dragging and dropping images from the gallery.

Key features of the new custom sticker maker:

  • Image selection: Users can choose any image from their gallery to serve as the base for their sticker.
  • Cutout options: Various cutout shapes are available to define the sticker’s outline.
  • Text addition: Users can add text to their stickers, providing an additional layer of customization.
  • Drawing tools: Freehand drawing tools allow users to add artistic elements to their stickers.
  • Sticker layering: Existing stickers can be layered on each other to create unique combinations.
  • Direct editing: Unlike the previous web-based sticker customization tool, editing of custom stickers can now be performed directly within the WhatsApp app.

The feature of creating custom stickers is currently exclusive to iOS 17 or later users. Android users do not have access to this feature yet. However, they can still use the existing sticker functionality. Users with older versions of iOS can only use and send stickers that were previously created; they won’t be able to create new ones.
