Bracketing is a method of creating HDR pictures manually by allowing users to take a series of pictures with different exposure values in succession, and then merging it later on a PC with the right software.
A new update to version 188.8.131.52 of the Nokia Pro Camera app for the Nokia Lumia 1020 brings this feature to the handset. It is best used with a tripod and should help address some of the criticism that camera does not have a good dynamic range.
Hopefully the feature will evolve into a proper HDR mode which can be used handheld and create the merged pictures on the fly, as seen in numerous other smartphones.
