It seems Nokia’s lowest-end Lumia, the 520, is also rapidly becoming the handset to lead its Windows Phone charge.

According to data from Google Trends, the $150 handset is now the most searched for Lumia, surpassing even the Nokia Lumia 920, which has been fading from its peak in December.

What is interesting is that the handset did not just shoot to the top of the charts, but has been building slowly since its announcement, reflecting I think increased penetration worldwide and hopefully also positive word of mouth.

Adduplex data showed the device grabbed more than 4% of the Windows Phone installed base in less than a month, overtaking the Nokia Lumia 720, 820 and HTC 8S, and if Google Trends is anything to go by the handset will soon dominate the Nokia Lumia 920 also.

Do our readers think Nokia is finally reading its natural market by addressing the low-end? Let us know below.

Thanks Arun for the tip.
