NokiaPowerUser reports that the Nokia Lumia 520 appears to be in high demand in China, with the handset selling out repeatedly in all colours at Nokia’s official Jingdong store.

The handset has also collected more than 6000 reviews only a few days after launch, indicating quite a bit of enthusiasm.

While Nokia’s recent financials saw China as a great disappointment, with a large Year on Year drop, what many ignored was Nokia’s statement that net sales actually increased between Q4 2012 and Q1 2013 in China, primarily driven by “smart devices”, showing real traction for the Lumia range in the region, which will only improve with the release of these affordable handsets.
