On his YouTube channel Austin Nwachukwu have posted a video comparing the picture quality of the Nokia Lumia 1020 vs an entry-level DSLR, the Canon Rebel XS, which is a 10.1 megapixel camera.
Besides its markedly oversaturated colours (which is generally felt to be more pleasing by many) the Nokia Lumia 1020 appears to be holding its own pretty well.
While YouTube may not be the best format for publishing the results, given that the service of course also applies their own compression, Austin seemed pretty happy with the results, noting that for the price of a entry level point and shoot you can get a great camera and a phone.
