Windows 10 brings Microsoft’s new browser, Edge alongside some other features such as Cortana. While there has been a couple of rumors claiming that Microsoft is bringing the browser to Android and iOS, it’s very unlikely – at least for now.
Recently, a screenshot was posted on PCBeta of an e-mail alert from Google which claimed that a user signed into a Google Account using Microsoft Edge on Android.
Now, that’s a bug with Google’s OS detection system which seems to be fixed now. Yep, if you sign-in to your Google Account on Microsoft Edge in Windows 10, you may get an email from Google saying that you’ve logged in using Microsoft Edge on Android. However, as we’ve said, the bug seems to be fixed now and you probably won’t get an email which says you logged in from Microsoft Edge on Android.
It’s also worth noting that Microsoft previously stated that the company has “no plans” to bring Edge to Android and iOS. That said, if you’re an Android user, would you use Microsoft Edge on your Android smartphone? Discuss in the comment section below.
