Microsoft community site Channel 9 is running a set of online awards, the “Nineys,” to celebrate 2010 and the larger Microsoft community. As well as allowing users to vote for their favourite news sites/fansites in several fields (as several Microsoft-run sites, such as the official Windows Phone blog, have been nominated, this rather resembles Microsoft patting itself on the back), the poll has a field for “Favorite New Microsoft Technology or Product,” which includes Windows Phone 7.
